Dr. Joe Dufresne has been practicing general dentistry in our community since 1982. Prior to that he served five years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio.
Committed to advancing his dental knowledge through continuing education, Dr. Dufresne regularly takes post-graduate courses in all phases of dentistry. His particular interests are in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.
Dr. Dufresne´s affiliations with professional organizations include:

- Honorable Fellow of the Georgia Dental Association
- He is also the Ethics Liaison of the Peer Review Committee in which he reviews all dental
ethics disputes which are filed throughout the state
- President-elect of the Northern District Dental Society
- Master of the Academy of General Dentistry
- Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic

- Member of the Hinman Dental Society
- Fellow of the International College of Dentists
- Member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy dental honor society
Dr. Dufresne has also been a clinical instructor in Crown and Bridge at Emory University School of Dentistry and a clinical instructor and guest lecturer at Clayton State College of Dental Hygiene.
